Watford 0-1 Ipswich

Town produced a sterling defensive display and nicked all three points with a last-gasp goal at league leaders Watford.

Chances were few and far between throughout the game. Loanee Luke Varney had a goal disallowed for offside within the first ten minutes after being put through by Murphy. Gomes was forced into a smart save from Varney after he cut in from the right. Shortly before half-time skipper Luke Chambers produced a fine sliding block to deny Guedioura as he unleashed a powerful shot.

In the second half, Watford's Igalho put the ball over the bar from six yards after a cross by Deeney. In the fifth minute of injury time, substitute Freddie Sears capitialised on Watson's mistake and put through Chaplow who kept his composure to slide the ball home in front of the Town fans, cueing wild celebrations from players and supporters alike.
