The 2014–15 season will be Ipswich Town's thirteenth consecutive season in The Football League Championship, the second-highest division in the English football league system. In addition to competing in The Championship, Ipswich Town will also compete in the League Cup and the FA Cup. The season will also mark the return of the East Anglian derby (nicknamed as Old farm derby to fans) between Ipswich and Norwich, when Norwich were relegated from the Premier League the previous season. The club finished 6th, gaining a place in the Play Offs where they will face Norwich in two ties.
